Manchester United are reportedly open to reintegrating Antony into their ranks, although he has two keen suitors.
The 25-year-old never truly flourished during his two and a half years at Old Trafford, only scoring 12 goals and providing five assists in all competitions.
Therefore, it was no surprise to see the Brazilian head towards the exit door shortly following the departure of his mentor, Erik ten Hag.
While the Dutch manager was sacked by United in October 2024, the winger was sent out on loan to Real Betis in January.
Nevertheless, the swift success that Antony found in Spain took many by surprise, as the world hadn’t seen that enchanting version of the talented Brazilian since his early days at Ajax. Therefore, the Andalusians are keen to find a way to keep the ‘magical’ star at the club.
But according to Sky Sports, this remains a daunting mission for the LaLiga side, as they don’t possess the required financial means to pull off the operation, especially with Man Utd determined to sell the player on a permanent basis.
Why Man United could bring back Antony

The source also confirms Bayer Leverkusen’s interest in Antony. The Bundesliga giants have recently hired Ten Hag as their new head coach to succeed Xabi Alson who signed for Real Madrid. Therefore, the former United boss is keen to reunite with Antony for a third collaboration.
Nevertheless, the same report reveals an unexpected third path that would see the winger return to Ruben Amorim’s squad.
“Re-integrating him [Antony] into the United set-up cannot be ruled out. He featured in every one of Ruben Amorim’s squads bar one before he left for Spain in late January,” explains Sky.
Man United fail to convince Brentford with opening Mbeumo bid
This new development coincides with Brentford rejecting Man United’s opening bid for Bryan Mbeumo who recently emerged as a primary target for the club.
The Red Devils offered £45m + £10m in add-ons, as David Ornstein revealed, but the Bees are holding out for £60 million.
It should be noted that first offers are often rejected, with clubs playing the usual tug-of-war, so there’s no reason for the Reds to panic just yet.
Nevertheless, the fates of Mbeumo and Antony could intertwine, as both players are left-footed and like to play as inverted right wingers.
Therefore, there’s likely room for only one at Amorim’s court, especially when considering the looming presence of Amad Diallo.
Just go for Gyokeres and maybe a RWB and play Amad as number 10. Brentford and Mbeumo are trying to soak us, leave him and move on.
We can bring in a top midfielder, and maybe a CB also. Change plans if we have to. We have lots of young players who are willing to die for this club.
Play hardball and to hell with Brentford.
Mbeumo is a very wrong option and a very terrible option just like cunha and hojlund
Why does Man U keep wasting money by stocking their miseries with wrong signings
Instead of getting the bad ones out..
Sign Kerkez, bring back Sancho,
I agree tell Branford to do one and move on he is certainly no worth over 60 mill and not 250 a week we can do better and cheaper
Brenfore the always compair the signe of matheus cunha for wolve, the want let tham signe the own player like that. Is not done that way, if the no gree with £55m then is hight time man united to fine another player in any other club. Osimene is availlable, many player are on the market
Top targets can’t come in one go. Mbeumo will add value to the team. Proven premier league player. Some middle path will certainly emerge between man utd and Brentford for sure.
Gyokeres, Mbeumo and Cunha will be deadly additions.
Couldn’t agree more
agrer, the time that man u id paying thode numbers have to br over. Say thank you and move on
Man United like cheap players who are surplus in their Clubs not the one that the club selling the players will regret of selling them
da li Ćerki manje vredi od igrača Bredforda neverovatno
We have many players of that type or with the same statistics so why do we rely on him ,and he is demanding us a heavy salary which is not normal at all , that is the sign of rejection so let them keep their player
The silly season is in full swing again suggesting we keep Antony that sounds of desperation
da li Ćerki manje vredi od igrača Bredforda neverovatno
Mbuemo is a good signing but d offer of of 55m is good enough for Brentford to accept
We have Rashford, Greenwood and Sancho but some unpopular opinion are tagging them them attitude problems, whereas when they had left our eyes were cleared of who really lacks attitude. We almost finished in 19th position on the table.Webonoy need to play 10 men just to make us win our last game the season. Manchester United drop your pride and recall your home grown players. Greenwood would have settled the strikers problem. Chelsea will never leave their players to be scorned by media or haters they settled all the matters of drugs addiction alleged bullying and other associated cases against their players without letting it linger. Your house is stinking stop players bullying by exposing them to external criticism just to make it look like they’re rude. Nobody will like to be treated as scape goat and will not wants the whole word to know about his own side of the story. Tell them you are having financial problems rather than trying to cut corners.
No player is bigger than a club.. roja that

I agree to a large extent with some of the opinions. For too long now we have been paying crazy money for average players. It’s time now to go for the real good players at normal market prices. Being Man Utd should not be a disadvantage but a huge draw card. If they can’t accept our offers to hell and let’s move on. The market is saturated with good players.

The difference is 5M, I don’t know if our comments gets to the club management. We need options and players who can challenge other players. Mbuemo is a good buy, pay the extra 5M which I learnt the club has submitted a bid to address that. It’s no news players are over priced these days. How much did City sign Doku? How many goals and assist does he give them. Is it the same players than struggles to score at United you want us to play with in next season? Please we need goals and any body who is proven in front of goal is need. It seems many of you don’t watch Mbuemo play. Don’t forget there will always be injuries and that’s why we good clubs have options. We will sign a world class striker and a keeper after Mbuemo is finalized. Let’s remember we are not all that bad, three seasons ago we finished 3rd in the league. United will be on top again.
people say lots. Antony is needed urgently. a great player for our times.
Bring back Antony?? R we off our rockers. U cannot bring back a player who has been a total flop. As I always say . The Premier League is a different beast and not many players come from another league and succeed. But we definately have to rid our club of Antony, Holjund, malacia, casamiro and onana.
Antony must go to his step dad ETH. Antony has got to be one of the worst players I have ever seen play or try to. And to pay 85 mill for him. Somebody made some good money on the sideline. May it was ETH and Antony. Rid ourselves of this infestation who calls himself a football player. Period.
