United are holders of the trophy and will be looking to retain it this campaign, and with Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur all knocked out, the path to the final could be – on paper – relatively straightforward.
In the league, United have already done the double over Marco Silva’s side, having overseen a 1-0 win on the opening day of 2024/2025 and a 1-0 victory at Craven Cottage last month.
