Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes mocked Viktor Gyokeres’ trademark celebration when he scored against Sporting CP on Tuesday night.
The Gunners ran riot in the Champions League, racing into a 3-0 lead before the half-time whistle.
Gabriel scored the third goal and couldn’t help but celebrate cheekily as he mimicked a celebration from Sporting talisman and Manchester United transfer target Gyokeres.
The Brazilian ran off and put his hands over his face to cover his eyes with clasped hands.
It wasn’t Gyokeres’ night as Arsenal went on to win 5-1, and he could not find the back of the net against English opposition, like he did against Man City with a hat-trick.
Sporting CP missing Amorim
The Portuguese champions were unbeaten before he left, so it looks like they are dealing with the effects of losing their manager midway through the season.
Amorim had Sporting coasting in the Primeira Liga and they were also on course to qualify for the Champions League knockout stages, but last night’s result will put a dent in those hopes.
In his first game as head coach at United, Amorim’s side suffered a 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town.
United are back in action on Thursday night when they host Bodo/Glimt at Old Trafford.
