‘Very good news’ – Ten Hag offers key injury update ahead of Crystal Palace clash

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has offered his thought on the return of two key Red Devils who have been sidelined in recent weeks.

It was confirmed earlier this week that Manchester United stars Mason Mount and Rasmus Hojlund had returned to first-team training ahead of Saturday’s trip to Crystal Palace.

The former Ajax coach will be pleased that he has more options to choose from as he looks to continue the momentum from the 3-0 win at Southampton and the midweek 7-0 victory against Barnsley in the Carabao Cup.

Erik ten Hag pleased with Ramsus Hojlund and Mason Mount return

Speaking in his Press conference ahead of the Crystl Palace fixture the 56-year-old coach has expressed his delight at the return of Mount and Hojlund.

Speaking to the media via The Manchester Evening News, Ten Hag said: “It’s very good news they are back on the pitch.

“They are back in team training.

“We have to decide whether they are fit enough to start [Crystal Palace fixture] but it is very pleasing they are fit and back in the squad.

“We have so many games in this block to cover, so very very happy.

“We have to make the final call, they did a couple of training, we have to see how they recover and tomorrow they will make the final call.”
