During the international break, Erik ten Hag will be planning how he can quickly turn around results but the former Ajax man has received a much-needed boost.
Ineos wanted to make an impact in the summer transfer window with a move away from the traditional over-spending in past windows.
There has been a focus on targeting younger talents that will develop into potentially successful Red Devils.
Manchester United made the impressive signing of 18-year-old Leny Yoro from Lille for an initial £52.18 million.
Yoro is highly regarded and was expected to make a summer move to Real Madrid.
The French defender unfortunately hobbled off in the first pre-season fixture in the USA against Arsenal.
It is understood that he suffered a metatarsal issue that the club were already aware of after his medical checks.
The Frenchman has been out of action since and has been pictured several times on crutches.
Erik ten Hag receives Manchester United Leny Yoro boost
In the opening games, the Manchester United boss has not had the option of using Yoro but has opted for Lisandro Martinez, Harry Maguire, and summer signing Matthijs de Ligt.
According to the Manchester Evening News journalist Steven Railston, there has been a positive update regarding Yoro’s recovery.
Railston states: “Manchester United defender Leny Yoro is walking without crutches as he steps up his rehabilitation from a foot injury.
“Yoro was unveiled to Old Trafford before the Fulham game and was using crutches but his recovery is progressing and they are no longer needed.
“That represents a positive step in his return to action and Yoro has been in the gym at Carrington as he works with United’s physio team to prepare him to return to full fitness.”
