Manchester United are interested in signing Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain, but an agreement has yet to be reached between the two clubs.

According to French publication L’Equipe, PSG are considering a bid for PSV Eindhoven’s Jerdy Schouten, a 27-year-old defensive midfield, if they offload United target Ugarte.

PSG are willing to let Xavi Simons return to RB Leipzig and Ugarte could leave for United, so it comes as no surprise that the Ligue 1 champions are keen to sign midfielders this summer.

Joao Neves, who was linked with a move to United, is expected to arrive from Benfica this week – but they could be in the market for another midfield addition.

Netherlands international Schouten has emerged on PSG’s radar.

The French newspaper reveals that Luis Campos has highlighted that PSG need to sell to free another spot in midfield.

It sounds like these two deals are in the pipeline, but PSG still need to accept an offer from United before any real progress is made.
