After all he’s had to endure from the stands since his departure, it’s fantastic to see Sir Alex Ferguson revelling in Manchester United’s glory again – this time as a fan.
The managerial legend was joined by Sir Dave Brailsford, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Avram Glazer at Wembley this afternoon as the Red Devils defied all odds and overturned fierce rivals Manchester City 2-1 to be crowned FA Cup champions.
Goals from Carrington graduates Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo sealed the deal, but each and every player can hold their heads high after they all did their bit to get United over the finish line while keeping City’s prolific attackers at bay.
Post-match, Sir Alex was caught singing along with the travelling United faithful as ‘Glory, Glory Man United’ rang out the stadium’s speakers – a sight that’ll warm the heart of every supporter.
