Juan Mata, David de Gea and Bruno Fernandes were all close mates during their time together at Manchester United and it looks like it remains that way for the Spanish-speaking trio.
Out of the trio, only Fernandes remains at United, after becoming club captain this season.
David de Gea is still a free agent after leaving Old Trafford in the summer and Juan Mata is also without a club. The 35-year-old most recently played for J1 League side Vissel Kobe following his United departure in 2022.
They’ve made it no secret that they remain in contact over the last few years, although Mata’s most recent social media post had fans laughing, even if they felt slightly bemused by it all.
Mata took to X to share a photo of Fernandes and De Gea side-by-side with a poster from ‘Dumb & Dumber’ beneath the pair.

“You can only ask,” was De Gea’s reply, along with a laughing and red heart emoji.
No one is fully certain of the background behind the post, we can only assume it was a private joke between the trio, made in jest.
