United ready to offload attacker this summer whom they deem to have ‘failed’ at Old Trafford

Manchester United are reportedly ready to part ways with Facundo Pellistri when he returns to Old Trafford this summer.

The 22-year-old completed a loan switch to Granada in January, joining the Spaniards as they looked to mount a fierce survival quest to try and stay afloat in La Liga.

Unfortunately, their best efforts have proven not enough, as they sit 14 points from safety with just nine matches remaining.

There was no buy option included in Pellistri’s loan terms so he will rejoin the Red Devils at the end of the campaign. From there, United plan to transfer list the attacker in hopes of cashing in on a player they believe has ‘failed’ in living up to the hype, as per The Mirror.

Assuming he doesn’t feature in red again, the Uruguay international will leave the club having made 24 senior appearances, four of which have been as a starter. He has never scored for United but has registered two assists since signing from Penarol in 2020 for £9 million.

  1. So: get rid of this bright, attacking talent; keep Antony?
This sounds like the United I reluctantly have to accept my team has become.
Is there anyone there knows what they’re doing?
