Jadon Sancho hails BVB performance after 2-0 win over Bayern Munich

Jadon Sancho hailed Borussia Dortmund’s performance after a 2-0 win over Bayern Munich.

Borussia Dortmund took three points thanks to goals from Karim Adeyemi and Julian Ryerson. It was their first Der Klassiker victory since 2019, which made it one to forget for Bayern striker Harry Kane.

Sancho, who is on loan from Manchester United, took to social media to praise his team-mates after the match. He wrote: “Strong team performance!”

The England international played 84 minutes against the German giants, touching the ball 41 times, including one key pass (via Sofascore).

Bayern are now 13 points behind Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen and the win means Dortmund move to fourth in the table with seven games left to play.

Sancho rediscovers love for football

One of Sancho’s former youth coaches believes that the BVB loanee has rediscovered his love for the beautiful game after returning to the Bundesliga.

Speaking to Mirror Football, Sayce Holmes-Lewis explained why the current version of Sancho was completely different to player who disappointed at Old Trafford.

“We saw what he did during his time at Dortmund, his first stint, and now you see him returning to Dortmund and just having a feel for the game again. [He is] being supported in a way that maybe he isn’t being supported at Man United.

“But you’re seeing now how he’s expressing himself on the pitch and he’s playing the game like he loves the game again.”
