United man expected to be named in national team squad despite missing consecutive matches through injury

Harry Maguire is set to be called up by Gareth Southgate to feature in England’s two friendlies later this month, as per the Daily Mail

The Three Lions boss is expected to call upon one of his most trusted lieutenants again despite the fact that Maguire has missed Manchester United’s previous three matches through injury.

Erik ten Hag did suggest that the centre-half could return for this Sunday’s crucial FA Cup quarter-final clash against Liverpool at Old Trafford, and it’s certainly a fixture that Maguire would want to make himself available for.

England take on Brazil and Belgium on March 23 and March 26 respectively, both of which will be played at Wembley Stadium as the team undergo their final preparations together before this summer’s Euros. Having made the final in 2021, Southgate’s men will undoubtedly enter the tournament as one of the major favourites.
