Video: Dutch midfielder scores brace vs Juventus in front of Manchester United scouts

Manchester United scouts will be busy over the coming months identifying new targets for the summer transfer window.

Ineos Sports group are expected to appoint a new sporting director, with it being only a matter time before Dan Ashworth arrives once relieved of gardening leave at Newcastle.

We can expect the European – and perhaps South American – media to take advantage of that, with newspapers worldwide expected to link United with every Tom, Dick and Harry. Maybe with help from a few agents trying to build the reputation of their own client (let’s not pretend it hasn’t happened before).

According to Italian newspaper Tuttosport, as cited by Football-Italia, United sent scouts to the Allianz Stadium today to watch Gleison Bremer, Giorgio Scalvini and Teun Koopmeiners when Juventus took on Atalanta.

The latter had a night to remember.

Koopmeiners gave Atalnta the lead in the first half against Juve, scoring from a well worked set-piece with a strike at the edge of the box.

The Dutch midfielder scored again to make it 2-2 with 15 minutes of normal time left to play.

Koopmeiners has scored 10 goals and registered 3 assists in 25 appearances for Atalanta in Serie A this season.
