Man United ‘particularly active’ with entourage of 26-year-old transfer target

Manchester United are getting ready for INEOS’ inaugural summer transfer window.

Without a doubt, Sir Jim Ratcliffe will try to set the tone by making some notable entries and exits. He has already started making changes at the club with some appointments in the non-playing department.

A number of names have already been mentioned in relation to this summer’s possible Old Trafford transfer. Among them is Gleison Bremer, the Brazilian international who plays for Juventus in Serie A.

The most recent information about those claims has now been made by Il Bianconero, with Sport Witness supplying the details. The defender has reportedly been scouted by United “several times” this season.

Amidst those persistent transfer rumours, United appear to have been “particularly active” with the 26-year-old’s entourage.

Naturally, Juventus are considering a move to sign Ousmane Diomande from Sporting CP since they don’t want to be caught off guard should United decide to make an official bid for Bremer. That adds further weight to United’s sincere interest in Bremer.

The defender’s transfer is likely to cost at least £50 million, so the Brazil international won’t come cheap. That would obviously take up a significant portion of the transfer budget, but it does seem like a new centre-back is absolutely necessary.

One cannot overlook Lisandro Martinez’s injury concerns. It is difficult for Raphael Varane to play more than one game per week. Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof will remain unreliable.

Bremer is a really talented football player who would greatly enhance a defense that has allowed many goals this year.

Believe it or not, this season United have conceded more goals than Everton, who are fighting for relegation.
