Manchester United vs Liverpool: FA Cup quarter-final details confirmed

Manchester United’s FA Cup quarter-final clash with Liverpool will take place on Sunday 17 March.

The last-eight tie has been scheduled for a 3.30pm GMT kick-off and will be shown live on ITV.

United’s advancement in the FA Cup was confirmed on Wednesday night when the Reds beat Nottingham Forest 1-0 at the City Ground, courtesy of Casemiro’s late header from a Bruno Fernandes free-kick.

It also means that our Premier League fixture at home to Sheffield United, which was set to take place on the same weekend, has been postponed.

A new date for Sheffield United’s trip to Old Trafford will be announced in duo course.

However, United have a decent record against Liverpool in the FA Cup having won 10 of our 18 meetings, losing only four times.

The Scousers won the Carabao Cup last weekend and we should be doing our utmost to prevent them from winning anymore trophies in what will be Jurgen Klopp’s final season at Anfield.
