Man United are ready to pay €50 million for Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries

According to reports, Manchester United are interested in signing Inter Milan’s 27-year-old Dutch defender Denzel Dumfries.

Manchester United are prepared to spend €50 million for Denzel Dumfries, according to Fichajes. However, it’s uncertain if the Red Devils will be able to persuade Serie A giants Inter Milan to sell for the asking price.

They are highly unlikely to approve of a star defender leaving in the middle of the season. Therefore, any move must wait until the transfer window in the summer.

The 27-year-old is a reliable player and Manchester United may find him to be a valuable addition. But the Red Devils already have Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot available.

It doesn’t seem realistic that United will spend money on another full-back without first having to sell someone. Though Wan-Bissaka has been linked to leaving Old Trafford, it’s unclear if United will sell the former Crystal Palace defender.

Dumfries is unquestionably a better option than the English defender. Going forward, Wan-Bissaka is weak and faces criticism for his deficiencies and Dumfries is a more complete full-back than him. He would help United improve defensively and contribute to the attack as well.

Ten Hag has a deep admiration for Dumfries as well, as the two were in the Eredivisie at the same time; the wing-back had previously played for PSV, Ajax’s bitter rival.

Dumfries has managed two goals and seven assists in all competitions for club and country this season, making him arguably the finest player in his position in Serie A before a recent injury break. His performance has propelled Inter to the top of Serie A and the Champions League round of sixteen.
