Manchester United are back in action this weekend as they make the trip to face Newport in the FA Cup, two weeks on from their last game.
The last outing came when Tottenham came to Old Trafford, with Erik ten Hag’s men taking the lead twice in that game but had to settle for a draw.
Rasmus Hojlund and Marcus Rashford were the goalscorers that day and after a two-week rest, Ten Hag will be hoping the forward pairing will continue to fire for the remainder of the season.
United have endured a highly turbulent campaign but could still salvage it by finishing inside the Champions League places and, hopefully, add another trophy to the collection.
United have five days of rest before their next game – a trip to Molineux Stadium to face Wolves and Ten Hag will therefore, most likely, pick his best players for the game at Newport.
Andre Onana is unavailable after qualifying for the knockout stage with Cameroon but there could be other returning starts.
Casemiro was on the bench for the game against Tottenham and Lisandro Martinez made a second-half cameo. It’s unlikely that Rashford will be fit after missing training leading up to the game.
Predicted Manchester United line-up (4-2-3-1): Bayindir, Wan-Bissaka, Martinez, Varane, Shaw; Eriksen, Mainoo; Antony, Fernandes; Garnacho; Hojlund
