Manchester United sent scouts to watch Bundesliga striker on Saturday

Manchester United will be in the market for a new striker again this year, so the coming months will be a busy period for the scouts working at the club.

One player that has been linked with a move to Old Trafford in the past is Benjamin Sesko. The 20-year-old is back in the gossip columns again, with suggestions that United have reignited their interest by sending scouts to watch the Slovenia international.

According to HITC, United scouts were sent to watch Sesko play for RB Leipzig in Saturday’s 3-2 defeat against Bayer Leverkusen.

Sesko has seven goals in 24 appearances for this season, which is a similar return to what Rasmus Hojlund has managed in his debut campaign at Old Trafford.

This suggests that United are considering Sesko as a support striker for Hojlund. The Dane could do with stiff competition because he has not got that from Anthony Martial.

United have also been linked with a loan move for Bayern Munich striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting ahead of the January transfer deadline.

Let us know in the comments section if you think United should sign Sesko this summer.
