Manchester United would have to pay €50m for 20 y/o Slovenian striker

RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko has been on Manchester United’s radar in the past.

It goes without saying that the Reds will be in the market for new forward players in the summer, although none of us are expecting any incoming deals on a permanent basis this month.

In a recent update from German journalist Florian Plettenberg it has been revealed that the 20-year-old striker has a release clause in his contract which would allow him to leave in the summer for a fee of around €50 million.

Sesko has been linked with more Premier League clubs, too. Arsenal and Chelsea are said to be keen on signing the Slovenia international.

The highly rated young striker could develop into a quality Premier League goalscorer with the right guidance, but as far as United are concerned we’ve already got a bright prospect in Rasmus Hojlund.

Sesko has scored seven goals across all competitions this season.

United, Arsenal and Chelsea all need more attacking depth in their squad.

Chelsea expected Nicolas Jackson to solve their goalscoring problems this season and that didn’t go to plan. Gabriel Jesus has only managed three goals for Arsenal this season, and we’ve only got Hojlund.

It will be intriguing to see if Sesko leaves RB Leipzig this summer.
