United attacker’s prospective loan transfer to Spanish club could include buy option and buy-back clause

Hannibal Mejbri continues to mull over his loan options this month after receiving interest from both Sevilla and Everton.

The Manchester United midfielder agreed terms with the Spanish club last week before Everton made an 11th-hour approach to try and hijack the deal, leaving the decision entirely in Hannibal’s hands.

Now, The Athletic reports that Sevilla have proposed a ‘more favourable’ offer to the Red Devils and the player, which has left him leaning towards a La Liga move.

Buy clause included in loan terms

The prospective loan terms would include an option to buy at the end of the season, as well as a buy-back clause for United, who have just activated the one-year extension in his current contract that stops him from leaving as a free agent in June.

Premier League experience would’ve undoubtedly benefited Hannibal if his long-term goal was a starting role at Old Trafford. So far this term, the 20-year-old has made 10 appearances and totalled 327 minutes worth of game time.
