Player admits he would be ‘extremely happy’ if his club signed ‘talented’ United star who makes a difference

Jadon Sancho is gearing up for his long-awaited Manchester United exit in the coming days, having not featured for the club since August 26.

A notorious fallout with Erik ten Hag led to the player being banished from all first-team action and facilities until he apologised to the coach, which Sancho has refused to do for the four months since the feud began.

As such, the only way for him to continue his career at the top level is to do so away from Old Trafford, and the earliest opportunity to seal a move has come now – in the January window.

Sancho is closing in on a return to his former club, Borussia Dortmund, with talks in the final stages and his travel to the team’s winter training camp in Marbella being prepared, as per Fabrizio Romano.

He’ll re-join the Bundesliga outfit on loan until the end of the campaign, after which United and Dortmund will need to make a decision over a potential permanent transfer. Given that the Reds paid £73 million for him back in 2021, it’s on track to be another disastrous piece of business on their end.

Dortmund skipper thrilled with Sancho return

Speaking to Sky Germany, Emre Can was quizzed on the impending arrival of his former teammate at the Signal Iduna Park.

“Personally, I would be extremely happy because I think a lot of him. And I believe that, if he comes, he will help us,” the club captain explained.

“I don’t know how far (the deal is down the line), or whether he’s coming or not coming. But it would definitely be nice if he came. He is a difference (making) player. He’s always good for a goal, he’s always good for an assist and he’ll definitely help us if he comes along.

“He is extremely talented, and is simply a difference player.”
