David Ornstein claims 22-year-old United attacker is receiving loan interest from numerous clubs

Facundo Pellistri is being targeted by numerous clubs for a potential loan move in the January transfer window, as confirmed by reputable transfer journalist David Ornstein.

The 22-year-old isn’t overseeing the season he’d have liked at this stage of his Manchester United career, making just three starts in all competitions thus far and a further 10 outings as a substitute, totalling 363 minutes worth of action.

Pellistri is yet to register his maiden United goal across the 23 appearances he’d made at the club but has tallied two assists. Given his age and Erik ten Hag’s preference for the likes of Antony and Alejandro Garnacho on the wing, a loan would only aid the Uruguayan’s development and let the manager see what he’s got in his locker.

Pellistri wanted by Ligue 1 club

As per Ornstein speaking to FIVE, Ligue 1 outfit Nice are one of the sides in pursuit of Pellistri’s services this winter. The French club are owned by new United shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe, though his 25 per cent stake is yet to be ratified by the Premier League.

Nice sit second in the league and five points behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain.
