Altay Bayindir already looking to leave Manchester United amid lack of minutes

Manchester United were on the lookout for a backup goalkeeper over the summer following the departures of David de Gea and Dean Henderson.

Andre Onana was brought in to become the first-choice option and Altay Bayindir, the Turkey international, joined from Fenerbahce.

Bayindir looked set to become the first Turkish player to represent the club but so far, he has yet to make his debut three months on from joining.

Despite suggestions Bayindir had joined to be the stand-in goalkeeper for cup games, Onana guarded the net in both of United’s Carabao Cup games.

Now, there are staggering claims that Bayindir is already looking to call time on his stay at Old Trafford, with Turkish outlet Fotomac claiming he is eyeing a January exit.

As per the report, Bayindir is unhappy with his lack of minutes on the pitch and is considering a move to Galatasaray, his former club’s fierce rivals.

United will make the trip to Galatasaray next week in a crucial Champions League game and coincidentally, it has also been reported that Donny van de Beek is on the Turkish giants’ wishlist.

Earlier on Thursday, it was claimed that United were poised to enter talks with Galatasaray over a move for the midfielder.
