Manchester United’s debilitating injury woes may have worsened this evening as Andre Onana was substituted with a fitness concern.

In the closing stages of Cameroon’s World Cup qualifier against Mauritius, the goalkeeper left the pitch accompanied by physio staff.

His nation was leading 1-0 at the time of his exit and later went on to add two goals, sealing a 3-0 victory on home turf.

United’s ever-growing injury list

Erik ten Hag must be wondering what United have done to be granted such poor luck this season, as the damning injury crisis has been unprecedented.

Should he be ruled out of the upcoming games, Onana would join Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, Jonny Evans, Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund in the treatment room. It never rains, it pours.

The Reds return to action on Sunday, November 26 with an away clash at Goodison Park and as it stands, Altay Bayindir could be in line to make his debut. It’s expected that he’ll fill the void between the sticks if/when Onana departs for AFCON in January.
