Bruno Fernandes has been linked with a surprising move to the Saudi Pro League, but Manchester United are not expected to entertain any offers for the Portuguese Magnificio.

After Cristiano Ronaldo’s shock signing, the Saudi Pro League has been able to convince a number of big names in the football world. We’ve already seen players like Riyad Mahrez, Neymar and Karim Benzema that they’re willing to move from Europe to the Middle East (if the money is right).

In turn, Saudi Pro League are going to continue spending crazy money to attract football’s biggest names.

Italian reporter Rudy Galetti last week suggested the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund is considering a move for Fernandes, although specific details are unknown like which clubs are trying to sign the Manchester United captain.

However, the latest update on Fernandes’ future comes from Football Insider, with claims that United are unlikely to entertain any offers for the Portugal international in January or next summer.

It would be baffling if Fernandes decided to leave Old Trafford – for Saudi Arabia – just a few months after being named Manchester United captain. He joined the club in January 2020 and has played 200 games, scoring 67 goals.

Fernandes will have two years left on his contract at the end of the 2023/24 campaign. He knows there’s still a lot of work to be done at Old Trafford.
