Rasmus Hojlund has given his public backing to Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag after a slow start to the season, with the Reds already losing nine matches in all competitions.
The latest defeat came on Wednesday against Copenhagen in the Champions League, losing 4-3 in a dramatic contest at the Parken Stadium.
Now, as a result of three defeats in four games, United sit at the bottom of Group A. A defeat against Galatasaray on November 29 would see Ten Hag’s side eliminated from Europe’s most prestigious competition.
Hojlund, who scored a brace against Copenhagen to take his tally to five goals in Europe this season, has publicly backed the manager.
“A really good coach,” Hojlund said after the match, as quoted by the Manchester Evening News. “He cares about every single detail, and he helps me a lot, gives me a lot of confidence and supports me.
“I think every player in the dressing room supports him. I hope it is just a matter of time (before United’s results improve).
“The first 30 minutes today was some of the best football we have been playing this season.”
With nine defeats and eight wins this season, the pressure is mounting on Ten Hag and United are already out of the Carabao Cup. A competition we were delighted to win last term.
Next up for United is Luton Town at Old Trafford on Saturday. Then our players go on international duty.
