Amad Diallo has yet to make a competitive appearance this season but that won’t stop clubs from trying to sign the winger in January.
The 21-year-old sustained a knee injury during the pre-season tour and he’s still going through the recovery process.
That said, with Amad now working with the ball at training, we should see him return after the international break.
Reports this week suggest that Wolves will try to sign Amad on loan in January but I am sure he will be aiming to get minutes under his belt at United instead.
According to footballtransfers.com, Wolves have already contacted United over the possibility of a loan deal for Amad.
It is understood that Wolves scouted Amad back in 2021, but they missed out on his signing because Atalanta accepted United’s bid for the player. They also made a move to sign him on loan in 2022 following an underwhelming spell at Rangers.
Amad turned things around at Sunderland last season – as one of Tony Mowbray’s best attacking players, and they reached the play-offs – scoring 14 goals in 39 Championship appearances.
With Antony struggling for form and Facundo Pellistri on the fringes of the squad, Amad can expect game time when he recovers from injury.
The Ivorian has two years left on his contract at Old Trafford, but United have an option to extend that by a further year.
Let us know in the comments section if you think Amad will get game time at United this season, or if you think we should send him on loan again.
