A welcome sight for Manchester United fans this afternoon as Casemiro has been spotted back in training with the squad.
The midfielder was absent from the Reds’ win over Sheffield United due to an ankle injury that he sustained on international duty with Brazil. Despite picking up the knock in their first World Cup qualifier, he was deployed from the start in their following match vs Uruguay.
Nevertheless, Casemiro now appears to be back to match fitness, which will come as a huge relief for Erik ten Hag. He’ll also get an extra few days of rest due to his Champions League suspension; he was shown a red card last time out in Europe when United lost to Galatasaray.
It means that the 31-year-old’s first match back in action will be the Manchester derby this Sunday.
