Dalot 7, Maguire 7: player ratings from Sheffield United 1-2 Manchester United

Manchester United have secured back-to-back victories in the Premier League, with Erik ten Hag’s men scoring a late winner to dispatch Sheffield United on Saturday evening.

Scott McTominay, the man of the moment, gave the Reds the lead in the first half but the Scotland international conceded a penalty just moments later, resulting in the hosts equalising.

It looked like United were headed for a point on the road despite Sofyan Amrabat and Bruno Fernandes striking the woodwork but Diogo Dalot came up with the goods with less than 15 minutes to go.

Man United Player Ratings

Andre Onana – 7
Made a series of good saves and could very well have saved the penalty as well.

Diogo Dalot – 7
Had some poor moments in the game but is key to United’s right-hand play. Fantastic winner.

Harry Maguire – 7
Stepped in to put in a good performance after doing the same in the last game against Brentford. Good option to have on the bench.

Jonny Evans – 6
Proving to be quite the signing on a Bosman.

Victor Lindelof – 6
Awkward position for him to play at left-back but he does it well. Walks away with an assist.

Scott McTominay – 6
His stunning goalscoring form continues.

Sofyan Amrabat – 6
An alright outing from the Moroccan.

Antony – 6
Might need some time to get back into rhythm.

Bruno Fernandes – 6
The heart of United’s attack.

Marcus Rashford – 6
Confidence is growing slowly but surely.

Rasmus Hojlund – 6
Came excruciatingly close to scoring again. Still waiting for his first Premier League goal – hopefully, it doesn’t become a thing.

  1. bruno. ‘the heart of united’s attack’. must be a backhanded compliment.

after all it’s an attack that has scored a measly 11 goals in 9 games and chalked up 58 last year in 38 games.
