(Video) Northern Ireland goal ruled offside after stunning long ball from Jonny Evans

It has been a miserable qualifying campaign for Northern Ireland, but today they saw off San Marino 3-0 to end a five-game losing streak.

Manchester United centre-back Jonny Evans started the game and played 63 minutes before Michael O’Neill made three substitutions.

O’Neill knows victory over a side ranked 207th and last in the world will do nothing to solve the bigger problems Northern Ireland have experienced the Euro 2024 qualifying campaign.

Although Northern Ireland will be delighted with their 3-0 win, but the best goal their scored was disallowed.

Evans played a wonderful pass forward for Paul Smyth, who lobbed San Marino’s keeper after straying into an offside position.

The centre-back produced a similar pass for Bruno Fernandes against Burnley last month.
