Manchester United scouts track Flamengo striker with €50m release clause

Erik ten Hag is a fan of the South American market when it comes to scouting players, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see Manchester United become more active in the likes of Brazil, Argentina and beyond.

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano understands Manchester United and Chelsea scouts recently tracked Lorran, a highly rated Brazilian talent who was born in 2006.

Romano adds that Lorran has a release clause included in his Flamengo deal worth €50 million.

The young striker is represented by Roc Nation Sports Brazil, the agency headed by JayZ. They also represent Vinicius Jr, Paqueta, Martinelli and Endrick.

Ten Hag added a young striker to his squad this summer when Rasmus Hojlund joined from Atalanta. That said, with Anthony Martial facing an uncertain future at the club, it’s highly probable that Ten Hag will look to sign another forward in January or next summer.

Lorran isn’t the only Brazilian striker linked with a move to Old Trafford, though. The Reds have also been linked with Santos star Marcos Leonardo.
