(Video) Harry Maguire scores own goal after coming off the bench vs Scotland

Harry Maguire has scored an own goal during Tuesday night’s Euro 2024 qualifier clash between England and Scotland.

The Manchester United defender had been jeered by the Scottish supporters ever since coming on as a substitute and this error is only going to lead to more online vitriol aimed against Maguire.

Maguire was left out of Gareth Southgate’s XI, with Lewis Dunk and Marc Guehi given the chance to impress against the Scots at Hampden Park.

However, Maguire replaced Guehi at half-time and he turned an Andy Robertson cross into his own net in the 67th minute. It left Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale helpless in the net.
