Rasmus Hojlund named in Denmark squad for September internationals

Rasmus Hojlund has been named in the Denmark squad for the September international break.

The 20-year-old striker joined Manchester United from Atalanta earlier this month, but he’s yet to make his debut for the club after signing with a back injury.

Hojlund returned to full training at Carrington last week and he’s already considered fit enough to be selected for the Denmark national team along with Christian Eriksen.

The September international break will see Denmark take on San Marino and Finland in the Euro 2024 qualifying fixtures.

Hojlund is in contention to make his United debut on Sunday when the Reds travel to face Arsenal, although it remains to be seen if he will be in the line-up or on the bench.

Other players in the Premier League called up by Denmark include: Joachim Andersen, Christian Norgaatd, Mathias Jensen and Mikel Damsgaard.
