Manchester United have landed all three of the players Erik ten Hag set out to bring to Old Trafford going into this summer’s transfer window but the Reds are not done in this year’s market.

High-profile departures in some key areas could force United to enter the market once more and midfield is an area of concern, with several exits expected before the end of the window.

Fred, the Brazil international, has already left the club after joining Fenerbahce on a permanent deal and Donny van de Beek could soon join the 30-year-old in doing so.

There are also question marks over Scott McTominay’s future at the club, with West Ham said to be interested in the Scotland international.

Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, who made headlines for his performances for Morocco in last year’s World Cup, has been heavily linked with a move but a transfer is yet to materialise.

Now, it is being reported that amid United’s interest in Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo, the Reds had scouts watching the French side over the weekend.

United were not at the game to watch Todibo in particular, however. Instead, they were also scouting Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram, the younger brother of Inter star Marcus Thuram and son of legendary France defender Lillian Thuram.

That’s according to Get French Football News, who say that United are monitoring the young midfielder ahead of a potential approach this summer.

Earlier this year, Thuram was heavily linked with a move to Liverpool and some reports paired the exciting Frenchman with a transfer to. Chelsea.

Todibo is one of a number of players thought to be on United’s list of potential replacements for Harry Maguire, with the former Reds skipper closing in on a departure.

Maguire is the subject of an accepted £30m bid from West Ham but a deal is yet to be completed.
