Manchester United agree fee with Atalanta for Rasmus Hojlund transfer

Manchester United have reached an agreement with Atalanta over the signing of Rasmus Hojlung.

Fabrizio Romano dropped his favourite ‘here we go line’ on Twitter after evening to mark the announcement that Hojlund will be the next player to join Manchester United this summer.

The Denmark international, 20, will cost United a package of around €70 million including add-ons. Hojlund had alreaqdy agreed a five-year deal with the Reds, despite interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

This is the news we’ve been waiting for this summer because United have been in desperate need of a goalscorer for the new season.

Erik ten Hag can no longer rely on Anthony Martial and nobody wants another Wout Weghorst-esque episode. It goes without saying that Hojlund is an upgrade, even though we must all remember he’s a prospect for the future.

Hojlund was not involved in Atalanta’s friendly with Bournemouth on Saturday. That was another hint for the news that dropped tonight.

We fully expect to see Hojlund unveiled as a United player next week.
