Manchester United intend to raise Rasmus Hojlund offer

Manchester United are reportedly planning to raise their offer for Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund.

Both clubs will need to reach a solution soon because United desperately need a centre-forward, while Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini would prefer to have time to find a replacement.

According to Alfredo Pedulla, Atalanta are demanding €60 million plus €8-10 million in bonuses.

The Italian journalist claims Erik ten Hag views Hojlund as the perfect profile striker for his attack.

With United set to up their offer for Hojlund, Ten Hag is taking a 31-man squad to the US for pre-season.

On top of that, Pedulla strongly suggests that personal terms wouldn’t be an issue because Hojlund could earn 7-8 times that per season should he move to Old Trafford.

Ten Hag knows that he can’t rely on Anthony Martial next season and United have yet to make a decision on Mason Greenwood, who is still under investigation at the club.

Hojlund is not an elite centre-forward yet but he has a high ceiling for the future.
