Manchester United prepare opening bid for €65/70m valued Rasmus Hojlund

Rasmus Hojlund has been linked with a move to Manchester United all summer, but it sounds like the Red Devils are preparing to make their initial offer for the Atalanta striker.

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has shared an update on the Hojlund transfer saga this afternoon, and he believes personal terms have already been agreed.

Atalanta’s asking price is between €65-70m but United will probably offer less than that (initial bids are always turned down) to prompt further formal talks.

Remember, the Andre Onana deal took some time to negotiate, and we’re still waiting on official announcements from United and Inter Milan.

Romano says the next step will be an official bid for Hojlund.

Erik ten Hag made it clear towards the end of last season that he wanted to add more goals to his squad. He helped turn things around for Marcus Rashford, with the forward hitting 30 goals last term.

There’s every reason to believe he can help Hojlund develop into an elite goalscorer.
