Chelsea are being linked with Harry Maguire, and it’s not for the first time this summer.
The rumour did the rounds in recent months and now with Mauricio Pochettino finally in charge at Stamford Bridge, we should soon learn Chelsea’s intentions when it comes to Maguire.
The Sun claim that Chelsea are considering a move to sign Maguire, who has been stripped of the captaincy at Old Trafford.
It doesn’t come as a surprise that the removal of the captain’s armband has led to more leaving rumours and Chelsea’s name is being thrown into the hat.
The question is do Chelsea need another centre-back?
Maguire will want assurances over game time if he leaves United this summer. Why would he leave to sit on the bench elsewhere?
It would benefit Erik ten Hag if United could sell Maguire because he needs more money for his transfer kitty. Especially if he wants to sign a top striker after Andre Onana arrives from Inter Milan.
