With the transfer market in full swing, journalists are keeping busy trying to find out what clubs like Manchester United are planning to do next.
Manchester United have completed one signing thus far. A deal that cost £55m plus £5m in add-ons took Mason Mount to Old Trafford and we could see him make his debut on Wednesday evening against Leeds.
The next potential signings on the agenda include Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana and Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, United will have to pay a minimum of €60m for Atalanta to consider selling Hojlund.
The respected Italian journalist was speaking to wettfreunde.net when he gave an insight into the future of Hojlund.
“Rasmus Højlund has the same agent as Erik ten Hag and he has been talking to the player for a long time. The player would like to join Manchester United but Atalanta haven’t received any official offer for the player yet.
“The agent has informed Atalanta that Manchester United want the player. Atalanta will sell the player if they get a good offer but they want at least €60m.
“I think it’s probably because Atalanta know it’s almost impossible to keep the player but they want the right offer.”
Di Marzio also touched on the future of Mason Greenwood, who has been linked with a move to Italy this summer.
“I haven’t heard Mourinho called Mason Greenwood so I don’t think Greenwood can go to AS Roma.
“But if Højlund joins Manchester United, they might have to find a new solution for Greenwood, but it won’t be a problem for Greenwood because he’s a player that interests many teams.
“Atalanta have denied that Greenwood would be part of a swap with me for Højlund, but I think Manchester United will find a solution for Greenwood. Even in the Premier League.”
