Bayern launch improved €70m+ offer for Manchester United-linked Harry Kane

Bayern Munich have upped the ante in their pursuit of Harry Kane.

The reigning Bundesliga champions are looking to test Tottenham Hotspur’s resolve yet again – after having their initial offer of €70 million plus add-ons rejected, they have now launched an improved €80m + add-ons bid, as per Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports Germany.

Whether or not Daniel Levy will deem the proposal acceptable remains to be seen, but reports have previously suggested that he is holding out for around £100m.

It’s clear to see why the Spurs chairman is so reluctant to sanction the exit of Kane, as there is no plausible way to replace him, especially not this year.

They know that he is one of the greatest strikers of his generation and he only proved this further when he recently clinched all-time top goalscorer status for both his club and national team.

United’s links with Kane

Manchester United had been heavily linked with a move for the frontman, however, Levy’s high valuation and unwillingness to sell to a direct Premier League rival forced the board to end their interest.
