Manchester United are expected to submit a third and final bid of over £55 million to sign Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount.
It comes after a second bid worth £45m plus £5m in performance-related add-ons was rejected by Chelsea, who are now demanding £60m plus £5m in bonuses.
According to Fabrizio Romano, sources feel this £55m offer is going to be the final proposal from United for Mount.

United are looking for a quick resolution because they know already that Mount wants to move to Old Trafford. Chelsea are just dragging their heels to see if they can get an extra £5m thrown on top of the deal.
Mount, who has played almost 200 games for the Blues, looks like he has already made up his mind. It goes without saying that he will be an improved midfielder option over the likes of Fred and Scott McTominay.
Only time will tell what Chelsea will have to say about United’s latest proposed offer for Mount. Hopefully we reach a conclusion of some sort, though.
