Manchester United starlet Alejandro Garnacho is among the headline names to have made the cut for the Golden Boy 100-strong list for 2023.

The Golden Boy award is handed out each year by Italian outlet Tuttosport, rewarding the best player aged under 21 across Europe.

Last years’ winner, Gavi, is up for the award again since he’s just 18-years-old. The award is voted for by sports journalists from Europe’s biggest media organisations.

Garnacho is the only United player to make the cut this year after enjoying a breakthrough campaign, scoring five goals in 34 appearances across all competitions as well as becoming a senior Argentina international.

Now he is being recognised as one of the best young players in Europe.

The full 100-strong list can be found here.

Erik ten Hag will be demanding more from Garnacho next season. Not just goals but assists too.

I personally think he should have started more games at the end of the season, after he returned from a long spell out injured.
