Manchester United are unlikely to bid for Harry Kane as they turn their attention towards Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund.
That’s according to Sky Sports News, which suggests that the Red Devils could end their pursuit of the Tottenham Hotspur striker and switch their focus onto Hojlund.
This is due to Spurs’ reluctance in sanctioning the exit of their all-time top goalscorer, leaving United with few options when it comes to navigating a bid.
Kane has just one year left on his contract but Daniel Levy is unwilling to sell the 29-year-old to a Premier League rival, and certainly for no less than £100 million, which would price United out of a move.
United eye Kane alternatives
Consequently, the Reds have been forced to consider alternatives; the board have made contact with Atalanta over Hojlund and they’re actively monitoring Frenchman Randal Kolo Muani.
One thing’s for sure, whoever they decide on, an out-and-out No.9 must be sought this summer if the club want to compete on all fronts.
It’s a no brainer, GET HOJLUND, MASON MOUNT AND A DEFENDER
Manchester united should complete Rasmos hojlund now and also kolo, frankie Dejong, mount, Rice, toldibo, kim min jae, firmpong and keeper
