Mason Greenwood decision comes down to Glazers and Richard Arnold

Manchester United are making progress on their internal investigation into Mason Greenwood’s conduct.

The 21-year-old has not played for the club since January 2022, amid allegations surfacing on social media and he was consequently suspended by United.

Greenwood was charged with attempted rape, controlling and coercive behaviour and assault occasions actual bodily harm in October 2022.

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) dropped those charges against Greenwood in February. This led to an internal investigation by United, which is ongoing, to decide whether he will be allowed represent the club again.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United could make a decision over the forward’s future in the next few weeks.

The MEN suggest the investigation could be finalised while talks over a potential takeover progress, with a conclusion getting closer.

It is understood that the a final decision will be made by the Glazers, along with chief executive Richard Arnold.

Another concerning report surfaced this week on Antony, with his ex-partner claiming she was assaulted by the Brazil international.
