Alejandro Garnacho will be hoping to make his senior international debut after receiving another call-up to the Argentina squad.
The Manchester United starlet was called into the squad in March — but an ankle injury ruled him out of action for club and country, therefore, delaying his debut for the world champions.
Argentina have two friendly fixtures later this month — against Australia and Indonesia — and Lionel Scaloni has hinted that he could give Garnacho his debut in one of those games.
Scaloni confirmed he is looking forward to working with the 18-year-old. He told Ole: “Let him come, let him fit into the group, we’ll analyse if he’ll play from the start of add minutes, but he’s exciting like other players we have.
“I hope he fits in well with the group.”
It would make sense for Garnacho to get some game time under his belt for Argentina ahead of their 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign, which starts in September.
Now is the time to experiment we also want to make sure Garnacho doesn’t play too much football.
In 37 appearances for United this season, the youngster provided six assists and scored six times.
