Manchester United set to discuss potential deal with Chelsea midfielder’s entourage

Manchester United are due to speak to Mateo Kovacic’s representatives in the coming weeks.

While they are not the only Premier League club interested enough to open dialogue with the player’s agents, it should be noted that the biggest line in this story is that they are willing to speak to other clubs after seeing little progress over a contract extension at Stamford Bridge.

According to 90min, Kovacic’s agents are expected to be in England to figure out a solution.

The former Real Madrid star can play as a defensive midfielder, as well as other midfield roles. He could partner Casemiro in the middle and act as a back-up option.

This season Kovacic has managed 33 appearances across all competitions, registering two goals and one assist.
