(Video) Paul Scholes says Man United attacker has become ‘different player’ in recent weeks

Paul Scholes has spoken highly of Manchester United winger Antony.

The Brazilian winger, who has been named in Erik Ten Hag’s starting 11 to face Sevilla in Thursday night’s Europa League quarter-finals, is looking to help his team progress to the competition’s semi-final stage.

Enjoying a decent debut campaign in England, Antony, who has so far scored eight goals in 35 games, in all competitions, would like to improve that record against Sevilla tonight.

And speaking about the 23-year-old, who joined United last summer for an eye-watering £86m (Sky Sports), pundit and legendary former midfielder Scholes has admitted his opinion of the ex-Ajax winger has changed in recent weeks.

“It took some convincing from me especially, the first part of the season but I think for the last two weeks, since that Everton game at home he has become a different player,” Scholes told BT Sport.

“I felt he had become a little bit predictable, always cutting inside on his left foot and he needed to add different dimensions to his game and I think the Everton game he did that.”
