Erik ten Hag has provided a team news update for Manchester United’s Premier League clash with Nottingham Forest on Sunday, April 16.
The Red Devils will make the trip to The City Ground to take on the survival-chasing Tricky Trees this weekend.
Last night, United were in action on the European stage when they played out the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final against Sevilla. It ended 2-2 after two late own goals cost the Reds their advantage, so they now have all the work to do in Spain next week.

Despite the result, the most concerning outcome of the game was Lisandro Martinez’s fitness. He left the pitch in the second half after sustaining what looked like a serious leg injury and was unable to walk to the sidelines. Consequently, he is out of Sunday’s game.
Similarly, Raphael Varane was replaced by Harry Maguire after he appeared to pick up an injury, though it is unconfirmed the exact cause of the issue.
Ten Hag confirmed today (via the club website) that the centre-back pairing would need to undergo further medical assessments to determine their availability.
On a more positive note, Luke Shaw could return from his hamstring problem, as well as Scott McTominay. The fixture may come too early for Marcus Rashford but Ten Hag suggested there is “a chance” for the forward to feature.
