Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar and British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe are reportedly preparing to make their final bids to buy Manchester United Football Club before April’s deadline.

That’s according to a breaking news report from Sky Sports News, who claim both interested parties are willing to enter a third and final round of bidding in the hope current owners, the Glazer family, agree to sell the club.

The Glazers, according to the Independent, are hoping to receive an eye-watering £6bn offer for the Red Devils, and should that happen before the end of the month, United’s proposed sale would see them become the world’s most expensive sports club.
