Man United are preparing to take on Spanish side Sevilla in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-finals.
The Red Devils, who will host Jose Luis Mendilibar’s Sevilla at Old Trafford on Thursday night, are looking to make it three wins from their last three matches in all competitions.
Having recorded their last defeat in the Premier League against Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United at the start of the month, manager Erik Ten Hag has been determined to see a good response from his Red Devils.
And revealing in his pre-match programme notes that he has been happy with the side’s positive reaction, the Dutchman, as quoted by MEN’s Samuel Luckhurst, said: “I said after our defeat at Newcastle that I expected to see a reaction from the players and I believe we saw that in our wins against Brentford and Everton.”

With United vying for a place in what would be their second final of the season following their Carabao Cup win earlier in the year, Ten Hag will know that tonight’s match against the Europa League’s six-time winners will be a huge test for his team.
Avoiding defeat tonight will almost certainly see United as narrow favourites to travel to Spain for the return leg next week and come away victorious over two legs.
United vs Sevilla, which is set to kick off at 8 p.m. (UK time), will be broadcast live on BT Sport.
