Bayern Munich prepare £44m bid for young Atalanta striker linked with Manchester United

Manchester United are not the only big European club eyeing a move for Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund.

The Denmark international, 20, is attracting a lot of interest ahead of the summer transfer window.

Hojlund would not be considered in the same bracket as other striker targets such as Harry Kane or Victor Osimhen, but Danish publication Ekstra Bladet (H/t The Metro) claim United are monitor the Atalanta forward with a view to bidding for him at the end of the season.

According to a new report from TuttoAtalanta, Bayern Munich are ‘readying’ an offer worth £44 million for Hojlund.

Bayern’s potential bid means United are likely to face competition for the youngster’s signature if our interest is genuine as reported.

Hojlund joined Atalanta from Sturm Graz last year and he’s already managed 7 goals in 24 Serie A appearances.

A lot will depend on how much money Ten Hag has to spend this summer. Ideally, we’ll sign two strikers.
